He spent his first years of schooling in Nassau at Lyford Cay School, before leaving for boarding school in England, where he attended Hawtreys, Eton and Oxford University, graduating in 1989 with a degree in Philosophy and Psychology. In 2002, Neil moved from Nassau to the island of Eleuthera, where he started his own adventure tour company, Bahamas Out-Island Adventures. The following year he joined H.G. Christie Ltd., bringing with him his extensive knowledge and love for the islands of the Bahamas. In 2004 Neil spearheaded the launch of H.G. His recent move to Abaco coincides with the opening of the Hope Town and Green Turtle Cay offices in June 2005, joining what is the most extensive and professional real estate team in the Abacos. With over fifteen years of experience in sales, marketing and customer satisfaction, Neil is noted for his ability to effect satisfactory transactions with all of his clients and customers. Robbie Bethel was born in Nassau, Bahamas. At 19 Robbie relocated with his family to their 'ancestral island home' of Abaco. After 4 years as a Safety Management Officer for Tankship Transport, Robbie's buoyant personality led him to the Hospitality Industry. For three years Robbie managed Harbour's Edge Restaurant in Hope Town. In this position, Robbie's affable personality allowed him to meet and become friends with many second home owners and visitors. Robbie's natural people skills led him towards a career in Real Estate with HG Christie in 2004. Shortly after joining the company Robbie Bethel became a licensed BREA estate agent. Robbie's lineage and knowledge makes him an excellent resource for real estate clients throughout the Abacos. However, his primary focus is on his home island of Elbow Cay and the nearby Cays of Lubbers Quarters and Tilloo Cay. Robbie's love for the island of Abaco and his hobby of website design has spawned the creation of several travel, visitor and environmental information websites. These successful websites have proven to be very supportive in advancing his real estate career. When not working on a 'deal', you can find Robbie exploring the islands of the Bahamas, boating, traveling or following his passion for cooking and gardening. Robbie's combined knowledge of Out-Island Real Estate, photography and graphic design skills, makes him an invaluable member of the HG Christie Team.

John Christie
Nassau
CEO
242.322.1041 x228
John Christie was born on November 10, 1963. He attended St. Andrew's School in Nassau and later The Millfield School in Somerset, England, where he received his "O" and "A" Level exams. In 1987 he graduated with a B. A. in Music and Social Science from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. After graduation, John spent six years living in Northampton and Boston, running a small moving business and pursuing a career in music where he was the lead for a successful band, "The Floating Boats", that performed throughout the northeastern United States. In 1993 he returned to The Bahamas to join H. G. Christie Ltd., where his father, Peter, is President. The first task that John set himself was to update all technology being used by the firm. An early believer in the power of the Internet, he then spearheaded the creation of a website for the company and, in 1995, H. G. Christie Ltd. became the first local real estate firm to go online. For many years, this site was the only one of its kind to be interactive, allowing users to search through the company's extensive portfolio of properties. Today, www.hgchristie.com -- which has more than 2,400 listings and is updated daily -- has become a crucial component of the firm's business. In 2003, the site swept the First Annual Bahamas Web Awards, taking home the coveted Best of The Bahamas Award, the Best Programmer Award, and the Judges top prize in the Non-Tourism category. John is currently overseeing HGChristie's continuing expansion in the Out Islands of The Bahamas, which his great uncle -- the founder of the company, Sir Harold George Christie, K.T., C.B.E. -- did so much to promote during his lifetime. John is a fully licensed real estate broker and has served as Director of the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA), where he continues to take professional courses. A skilled photographer, John shoots many of the pictures for HGChristie's website and additional promotional materials. His other hobbies include sailing, hiking and snow skiing. John lives in Nassau with his wife Agnieszka and their two young sons, Dylan and Kai.

William McP. (Peter) Christie, J.P., was born on December 17, 1929, and attended Queen's College in Nassau before traveling to England to study Law at Middle Temple, London. In 1951 Peter was called to the Bar of the United Kingdom and The Bahamas and returned to New Providence to open a law firm, William McP. Christie & Co. In addition to representing numerous private clients, Peter acted as H. G. Christie Ltd.'s principal real estate attorney, assisting his uncles -- the founder of the company, Sir Harold George Christie, K.T., C.B.E., and his brother, the Honourable Frank Holmes Christie, C.B.E. -- in the purchase of all of the firm's major properties. He spent many years traveling throughout the country, playing a key role in the establishment of such world-renowned communities as Hawk's Nest in Cat Island, Windermere in Eleuthera and Ocean Bite in Exuma. Peter's area of expertise was researching and establishing titles for land -- no easy feat in the many places in The Bahamas where, for decades, record keeping was poor or non-existent. During the 1950s, Peter served as Traffic Magistrate and Justice of the Peace for New Providence. In 1967 he was elected to the House of Assembly for the North Andros and Berry Islands District and was a Member of Parliament until the General Election the following year. In 1973, William McP. Christie & Co. merged with the prestigious firm of Higgs and Johnson, where Peter was named Second Senior Partner. In 1991 he resigned from that position in order to manage H. G. Christie Ltd. full time. An avid sailor, Peter has been a member of the Royal Nassau Sailing Club since 1951, and has served as its Commodore. He is the only person to have taken part in the Club's Inaugural Snipe Fleet competition as well as its 50th Anniversary race in 2004. He also enjoys tennis and skiing, and is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Nassau, which he joined shortly after it was founded in 1963. He is married to fellow Attorney Rosemary Christie and has three children, two of whom -- John and Cara -- work with him at H.G. Christie Ltd.

Dwayne was born in Eastbourne on the southern coast of England, but he grew up in Nassau from the age of two. After graduating from high school in Nassau at St. Andrews School in 1995, he majored in the physical sciences, attending Goddard College in Vermont and graduating from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts in 2001 with his Bachelor of Arts degree. The title of his college thesis, "A Mechanical Analysis of a Movement in Rock Climbing" alludes to his appreciation for the outdoors and the environment. After spending a few years in the graphic arts profession, Dwayne joined the family business in 2003 at the age of 25. With a focus in the appraisal discipline, and also providing professional services in sales, he continues the tradition started by his great grand-uncle and the founder of the company, Sir Harold George Christie, K.T., C.B.E., in 1922. Dwayne's major interest in life involves sails ranging from little remote control sailboats up to PHRF "Big boat" racing. He has represented the Bahamas on the international level in the Snipe class and is still an avid sailor, a trait he inherited from his grandfather, Peter Christie. Other pursuits include cycling (on and off-road), rock climbing, carpentry, photography, fishing and traveling. His travels within the Bahamas include the Abaco mainland and cays, Andros, Eleuthera, Harbour Island, Spanish Wells, Cat Island, Inagua, San Salvador, Great Exuma and much of the Exuma Cays chain, North & South Bimini, and Rum Cay. Dwayne maintains that the most unique place he has visited in the Bahamas is Conception Island, one of our unknown national marine parks. Dwayne lives in Marsh Harbour, is a licensed BREA estate agent and also an associate member of the Appraisal Institute (Florida Chapter).
