U.S. Travel to Cuba to Become a Possibility?

A new bill is being presented in the U.S. House of Representatives that would lift travel limits to Cuba currently imposed on Americans as well as Cuban exiles. Read more from the Sun Sentinel here. But how does this effect us?

Cuba was once a tourism powerhouse, and if Americans are allowed to travel to this Communist nation it would detract from our own tourism market. In times such as these, the last thing we need is another blow to our economy, which a further reduction in U.S. visitors would be sure to create. The Bahamas government, and all Caribbean governments for that matter, should lobby against this move.
