H.G. Christie is a proud sponsor of Swing for Scholarships and is happy to have participated in the first annual Lyford Cay International School, Swing for Scholarships event. This event supports the annual fund that provides assistance for Bahamian students to attend LCIS.
100% of the funds raised at the Swing for Scholarships event will benefit the LCIS scholarship programme that makes Lyford Cay International School (LCIS) a reality for a greater number of qualified Bahamian students.
Over the past five years, LCIS has been able to invest over $800,000 in the programme and those who have graduated have gone on to earn over $3.6m in financial aid and scholarships from colleges and universities around the world.
Golf enthusiasts from different companies around The Bahamas and overseas took part in a four person team scramble at Lyford Cay Club Golf Course helping the event to successfully raise $31,000 to benefit the school’s Scholarship Fund.
C.E.O John Christie said: “We were on par, had some birdies and bogies. It was a wonderful day out. Good to help the Lyford Cay school with scholarships.”
