HGC Tips | A Change Is As Good As A Holiday

Are you selling your house and need to spruce it up? Or maybe you have been home a lot lately because of Covid restrictions and the lack of beach-friendly weather? So how can you change up your environment without breaking the bank?

Paint your front door.

Logans Run, Winding Bay, Abaco

Take inspiration from your favourite HGTV show, or maybe one of your neighbours. Be bold and choose a colour to match your garden, or throw all caution to the wind and go with red, orange or let your kids pick. A front door is a lasting first impression.

Update your kitchen by changing the backsplash.

Contemporary Canal Front Home, Sandyport, New providence

Your whole kitchen can be upgraded by changing out the old tiles for a modern look, or maybe consider a mirror backsplash if you need to lighten the space? Take some tile samples home to see them in the right light!

Paint or wallpaper one wall.

The wall behind your bedhead is the perfect place to start! Get a colour swatch and consult some friends. They may enjoy the inspiration and paint theirs too!

Update your shower curtain!

It’s the most inexpensive way to brighten up your bathroom! Create a spa environment with soothing natural or neutral coolers, choose a transparent curtain to avoid blocking light from a window or just go nuts. It’s an inexpensive item, so get two if you cannot decide.
